Financial Support
Because The Graduate School of the Stowers Institute for Medical Research is committed to giving each student the best training in the best research environment possible, The Graduate School covers all costs of instruction and research and provides a stipend throughout the program for each student in good standing. The amount of the stipend is reviewed annually to ensure it remains competitive. The stipend for the 2012-2013 academic year is $32,000.
The Graduate School provides:
- a competitive stipend ($32,000 for the 2012-2013 academic year)
- medical, pharmacy, and dental insurance coverage
- travel and conferences allowances
- a laptop computer
- assistance with English language proficiency (if desired or required)
