Attendance Policy:  To meet the goals of the program, students are expected to attend every class during that portion of the curriculum and to work in a lab at least 40 hours per week during that portion of the curriculum.  A student who will be late or absent for any reason must notify The Graduate School office as early as possible.  With advance approval from the advisor and The Graduate School office, a student is permitted to take off a reasonable number of personal days.  Excessive absences or late arrivals may be grounds for dismissal from the program.
