Crossroads
The Crossroads program at the Stowers Institute fosters a sense of community among students and postdoctoral researchers. Crossroads activities are organized by a volunteer committee and include a variety of career-related and professional development workshops covering skills such as funding and grantsmanship, oral presentation skills and effective manuscript writing.
The annual “Young Investigator Research Day Symposium” provides students and postdocs with the opportunity to host leading international scientists and present their research. They also participate in a weekly seminar series, Friday Science Club, to hone their presentation skills and discuss the direction of their research. Career development workshops provide career resources for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers to help them reach the next stage of their careers.
